Celebrate National Nutrition Month with Campus Dining

March is National Nutrition Month, and this year’s theme — Food Connects Us — is especially meaningful to us at Campus Dining. More than just meals, dining is about bringing people together, sharing cultures, and creating memories. To celebrate, we’ve planned a series of exciting events designed to highlight the power of food to foster connection and community.

Virtual Recipe Swap

Share a taste of your culture, traditions, or favorite memories! Submit your cherished recipes by March 18, and we’ll compile them into a digital recipe book that highlights the diverse flavors and stories of our campus community.

Spring Break in Sanford Commons

Kick off National Nutrition Month with an afternoon of fun, food, and freebies! Join us on March 4, from 2 – 4 p.m., in the Sanford Commons Rotunda for an interactive event in collaboration with Campus Activities, Wellness & Prevention Services, and Campus Dining.

Community Movie Nights
Enjoy a free movie and popcorn while exploring how food brings people together in film. No meal swipe needed — just check in with the greeter and head to the Jimmy Smith Lounge in Rivers Street Café. Movies start at 6 p.m.

March 5 - Ratatouille
March 19 - Julie & Julia
March 26 - The Blue Zones Mini-Series

Mindful Meal

Slow down and savor the moment with an interactive mindful eating practice featuring a BBQ lunch. In partnership with Wellness & Prevention, this event takes place at 12:30 p.m. in The Grandfather Ballroom (Section B), Plemmons Student Union.

Universal Meals Takeover
On March 25, stop by Rivers Street Café’s Savor Station for a special menu takeover featuring plant-based, allergen-friendly, globally inspired dishes. This dining experience proves that great food can bring everyone together—no matter their dietary needs or cultural background!

Join us throughout March as we celebrate the connections we make through food. Let’s eat, share, and celebrate—together!
