Better for the environment
When you support local business, you are reducing your own carbon footprint. Since locally roasted coffee is made in your community, there is little food transportation. Any way you buy local, you’re cutting back on your dependence of fossil fuels & greenhouse gas emissions!
Better for the planet
The local roasters that partner with Campus Dining are committed to sourcing ethically from fair trade coffee farms. This means the coffee farmers and their teams are paid living wages, and are mindful of their impact. Some of the beans they purchase are also certified organic, which minimized the effect of the coffee industry on the land itself.

Better for your local economy
Instead of inserting your cash into large supermarket chains, you are giving back to your community and individuals in it. This helps people in your own community grow their businesses and prosper.
Better for a sense of community
Local businesses of any sort create a hometown feeling and connection. As a consumer, you are directly buying local products that network you with a local business, creating a sense of belongingness to the community around you.
