Chef Tony Bates was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Chef Tony began his culinary career by attending the Culinary Apprenticeship Program at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs West Virginia. His experience includes studying under two Certified Master Chefs: Peter Timmins, CMC and Richard Rosendale, CMC. Most recently, Chef Tony served as the Executive Chef at Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville and Executive Chef of Westglow spa in Blowing Rock.
